Future perfect continuous

Study this example situation:                        Read in Khmer

         

          Mr. Pheary is a teacher of English. He started teaching in 2005. Now he is still teaching English.  So, by 2015, he will have been teaching English for 10 years.

The highlighted sentence is called the future perfect continuous tense.

Future perfect simple

         

Study this example situation:

         

          David is going to watch a football match on TV tomorrow. The match starts at 1am and finishes at 3 am. So we can say, at 3:15 am tomorrow the football match will have finished.

The highlighted sentence is called the future perfect simple.

Future Continuous Tense

Study this example situation:

         

          From Monday to Friday, Mr. Kun Chay starts work at 7 and finishes at 11.Today is Monday, so we can say:

 At 8 o’clock today he is working.

And at 8 o’clock tomorrow he will be working.

         

          The highlighted sentence is called the future continuous.

Use ‘will’ or ‘going to’?

@ ‘Will’ and ‘going to” are used to mark the future; however, they express different situations or activities.
